Cytat:
okay so i got my phone call on wednesday and almost crapped myself. fast forward to friday. when the bus arrived outside taylor's apartment, there was a tall blonde waiting at the door. she turned slightly and i shouted HOLY CRAP THAT'S KARLIE KLOSS! and everyone screamed. karlie went inside. then we had to wait for her to get to the top before we could go inside. we took the stairs up. 6 flights. week bitches were pressed and breathy. me, i stayed fly.

anywho. we entered in the security's quarters, got another scan (the first was at the hotel that we met at), and then were allowed in. we all walked around taylor's apartment and got food. sam lansky was there (a Times writer). the lounge area is pretty huge, and has a pool table in it to the left. the room is painted in a medium to dark red, and the rook is exposed wood. the entire back wall is decoration upon decoration, with oversized bird cages filled with books, to framed Album of the Year nomination certificate and medal hanging on the wall, to a stylized poster for the september 19 - 21 red tour dates framed on a book shelf. it looked like a specially made poster given to her by the venue. then in a small nook in the lounge is the very well filled bar. there is a big poster of elizabeth taylor in her lobby, but all other framed pictures are black and white pictures of her with her family and friends. and the picture of ed pulling the zap sign. in a space bedroom was the rack of clothes that her and lena bought (which is spoken about in that interview), and on the wall above the bed is a hand sketch of taylor's 2014 met ball dress by oscar de la renta. on the windowsill sat meredith, not giving a single f*** about what was going on around her. she merely looked out the window, and occassionally glanced at us. on the other side of the lounge is a side room which sits a brown grand piano. then in her lounge is a big fireplace, with a huge mirror on top of it. on the mantle of the fireplace is a small broken grandfather clock, two books, each cut out to be the shape of a T and an S, and on one side her grammy for best country album, and on the other side her grammy for album of the year. and on the side of either of those is a customised candle, and on the delivery label under location it said "taybeca" (opposed to tribeca). the tv room has walls decorated with framed collections of polaroid pics, including one with tour dancers and her in a jacuzzi.

then when we all sat down, she graced us with her presence. but before she started anything, she said she had a friend who wanted to meet us but who needed to leave, then karlie came down, said hello, took some food, and bounced. she was beautiful and nice. then she played us some songs, with stories for each. i cant name any songs at all. sorry guys. i already got calls from taylornation coz my tweets were too descriptive. after one song in particular, i shouted out "at least you have your grammys". half the people didnt understand the reference. taylor did tho. she looked at me like oooooooooooh, oh no you didnt. then said "you said it, not me", and just slouched on her chair like "yeah you did" (i asked her if i could tweet that story afterwards and she said yes as long as it was clear that im the one that said what i said, not her. but i still deleted my tweet coz i said the song title in it).

at intermission she left her phone playing music and got us baked goods. she got swarmed with people, but then made her way to me. and we had a full on conversation, and i was weak at the knees. when she saw me she was like "omg i love your posts! how are you doing? you just started school right?" and everyone was just watching us have a convo about my school. then i asked her if i could hold the tray for her and she said no but that i could go with her to get some more food and pass that around, so we made our way to the kitchen. then i asked her if the rumours were true about harvey weinstein commissioning her to write a musical, and she said that that isnt happening now because she really doesnt have the time for that coz shes so busy with the new album, but that she definitely isnt ruling that out because she thinks that a great thing for her to do. then i asked her if she minds when i post pictures of her and caption them "on her way to steal your man" and "on her way to seduce your pastor" and she said "omg i love how sassy your tweets are". oh sorry, me making that grammy comment only happened after intermission.

yes so then intermission ended and we heard more songs. then the session ended and people lined up for photos. i was in the last group so i hang around the back and chilled. then i spoke to andrea. we got along really well. and she kept saying "you know more than i do" in genuine surprise when i would bring up info we discuss in base. then i asked her if the label was accommodating to taylor's transition, and she hesitated, then said "they became accomodating, because they knew they had no choice". and then explained that from the beginning scott and taylor have always had a good relationship, and even when they disagree, they are very respectful of each others opinions, and now everyone is on board. andrea said that this is the first time she sees taylor really standing up for herself in all aspects of her life. then andrea spoke about the label dynamics for a bit, and recall all the details, but if you have questions, ask away. then i asked her whether it was scott or taylor who hated spotify. and she said its a bit of both, but that, like taylor said in WSJ, she feels like there is a value to what she does. and that you should either buy her music or not, but dont borrow it for free. then i asked if theyre worried about hot100 streaming points, and she said the points you get from one sale are far greater than what you get for individual listens on spotify, so they have to balance that out. then i asked her what she thought of taylor's friends, and she gave a brief description of each one she could think of. then was like "who am i forgetting?". and i was like "are you allowed to say if she is friends with miley cyrus?" and andrea was very casually just like "im not sure if they were every really proper friends to start with. they always ran in different circles. they always greet each other when they see each other and are civil, but i dont know if they were ever real friends to start with. they certainly have never fought about anything". then i said "and what about her friendship with katy perry?" and andrea was just wide eyed. and i was like "what friendship? right" and she was like "i mean, i didnt say that", and started laughing. then she told us about the jetski life saving situation back in the day. then i told her tree is doing a great job, and said yes she agrees, and tree gives taylor the extra bit of confidence that she needs. like when taylor wanted to write a WSJ article, tree was like yas bitch get it! and she also said tree is just a lot of fun to be around with. like on that days that taylor has had 12 - 18 interviews a day, tree has been a great person to be around, and makes those long days enjoyable. then i told andrea that i was surprised at how much i liked shake it off, and that i didnt like wanegbt but that i understood why taylor made it a single, so that it could go number 1 and then taylor could release a song of substance after like begin again. and that im sure thats how she felt about releasing shake it off, but that this time, i actually liked the song and video. andrea laughed at all of this, and was like "you're very smart". then i asked her if she thought country music award shows used taylor's name for ratings, but she didn't answer that properly, and instead spoke about how taylor gets very nervous about award show performances, because theyre not as rehearsed as the daily routines she does on tour, and because of how nerve-racking it is to perform to her peers. she says the country award shows are always more friendly than the general field ones. then i told her that as much as i thought red deserved album of the year, that i knew without a doubt that it wouldnt win because of the bureaucracy surrounding that, and because of the horrid year taylor had in terms of media scrutiny last year. and andrea agreed. but then i said its such an honour for her to be nominated in the first place. and andrea was like yes exactly, we were dancing in her hotel room when we found out. and then she was like "you know, from not winning, she got Shake It Off. i think thats a fair trade". and then i asked if taylor considers grammy deadlines when releasing an album, and andrea was like no, she isnt too phased about that, and that she could have released 1989 in time for the 2015 show, but chose not to. and i was like "that good, because sam smith is walking away with album of the year". and she was like "oh do you think so?" and i was like "yeah. unless if beyonce buys it". and andrea was like "hmmm, it's interesting that you say that". but in an ominous way, not to say im correct to imply that, but as if to say, its surprising that thats a fact that has come to light.

then tree came over and i gave her more praise. she is so sweet, you wouldnt belieb. she looks very standoffish, but is the complete opposite. she was so charming and appreciative. i told her that the fans were so thankful for her allowing taylor to be more open in interviews and express herself more, and for the change in fashion. and tree was like "oh, the fashion is all taylor". then i asked tree if perezhilton being around so often was a case of "keep your friends close and your enemies closer", and tree looked so puzzled at the very notion, and said he was a very nice guy and that she liked him a lot. ugh, i know. then she said she doesn't like to single out any publication, and i was like "even hollywood life?" and she was like yeah even they have a couple of good writers. then i told her justjared was doing a great job on covering taylor and tree was like yes very much so, and that People and US Weekly are the only magazine publications that still fact check. the rest dont give a f***. then i asked tree if she knew what atrl was. and she was like it sounds familiar, what is it. then i explained. and she was like, we go on so many of these sites, its hard to keep up. then i was like, this is where you come for the real opinions on whats going on. the tree was like "wow you seem to know a lot" and andrea was like "he knows more than the both of us". then i asked tree if taylor was definitely not going to the EMAs and tree said there simply isnt space in her schedule for it. then i asked andrea why taylor always cuts down her tour in other parts of the world. and she said that its all about the logistics. that for Red, it took 24 trucks carting around america to transport the stage, and that you cant transport that stuff to places like china, so you have to see what props and spaces you can cut to make it all fit. and that the other alternative is have it all, but raise ticket prices, which taylor doesnt want to do. then i asked andrea if i could get a pciture with her and taylor when it was my turn, and she said she doesnt take pictures sorry. and i was like "pleaaaase", and she was like "okay, i cant say no to you". then i asked them if there was a particular reason why people have been taking photos with her awards, and they were like that just came out of people wanting to be like hey, can i touch this? and people in radio having worked in the industry 35 years and never ever touching one. then i was like "just like katy perry is never going to touch one". and they laughed, and tree was like "well, i'm sure she'll touch one at some point". and i was like "yeah, she did the one time she handed it over to fun.", and they laughed again.

oh and i forgot to say i also spoke to scott. he really is so nice, and i totally see how he absentmindedly reveals info that i know he should have been. he explained the next music video to me. all i can say is YOU GUYS HAVE NO IDEA. NO IDEA. i told andrea after that i knew about it and she seemed alarmed that he had told people. but HOLY LORD, YOU HAVE NO IDEA. i cant even.

oh and people asked taylor about promo singles and she coyly said she has something planned, but shes keeping that a secret for now.

oh then andrea explained the story of all too well, and how that was david cook's first day, so although he had learnt all the songs, when taylor started playing it, and the band just joined on, he was like waiit , what song is this? looool, and that the song wouldnt exist if the sound guy hadnt recorded that SN tour rehearsal.

then i asked about the replacement of the bandmembers, and andrea simply boiled it down to saying "you heard the album, you know that not everyone is needed to make that sound". then said there was no hard feelings, and that taylor maintains good relationships with everyone. but also, that that change is only for promo events, and that no decisions have been made about the tour yet. oh then someone asked if they had named the new tour's club red yet, and andrea asked for ideas, so i said "what about Studio 89, named after Studio 64" and Andrea said she actually really really loved it. jesus, if that becomes a thing!?!?!?!?!

oh and scott told me about how austin is doing really well at film school, and is considering being in front of the camera, not just behind it.

there is more stuff that andrea and i spoke about but im drawing blanks
okay then it was nearing my turn to get a photo with taylor so i went in line. when i got to taylor i was just like holy crap you are so skinny. and she was like no way not compared to these other girls. and i was like you should hop on a plane to london and model in the VSFS! and she was like omg i love you for saying that! that performance was so much fun, it was the most fun thing ive ever done. and then i was like yeah so you should walk that runway again! and she was like you really think so? i dont know, singing is one thing, but being on it in just a bra and panties, like my friends all do it, but i dont know if i could. then i was like well, now that we know what your midriff looks like, you may as well show more. and she was like hahahahaha you know what my midriff looks like but you dont want to see whats going on down there. and we laughed that off. then i was like, okay so there is this picture floating around of you holding two grammys in a polaroid frame, with "bad blood" written under it, PLEASE can you make that a single cover. and she started laughing and said "omg when you said that earlier, i wanted to come over and give you a big hug, but i didnt because i didnt want people looking at me like 'wow what a bitch'". then i was like "can i tweet what i said" and taylor was like "as long as you are clear that it came out of your mouth not mine". then she suggested that for our photo i take my jacket off and both of us fit into it. she was pressed right up against me. then i was like, oh your mom said she would take a picture with us. and taylor was like oh i dont know if that will happen. then andrea came in across the room and was like "taylor, we're taking one more picture of all of us. this boy was so great to talk to, and he is so smart". so i got another one. it was amazing. and taylor was like "wow we could speak forever". and then when i said goodbye to andrea i was just like "i really hope i see you again" and she gave me the biggest hug and was like "nothing is impossible, but first, finish school".

so yeah, that was that. sorry i couldnt give more song details. on the way home i started tweeting stuff and then got a phonecall from TaylorNation saying delete the ones with songtitles, even the ones people know, and delete the ones that are too descriptive. but the lady was phoning from nashville and wasnt there, and didn't know taylor said i could tweet that one tweet. but i deleted it anyway. aint nobody got time to have taylor nation pressed.

i have forgotten a lot, i am so sorry. if i remember more, i will publish

i jego odpowiedzi na pytania, choć jedna przytomna osoba, która nie twierdzi, że to najlepszy album po jednym przesłuchaniu, lepszy od Red i SN razem wziętych etc

Cytat:
okay i can't say which one, but what i will say is this, one of the ryan tedder songs was my favourite on first listen!!! and the voice memo she sent him. JESUS. those vocals. JESUS

Cytat:
oh and at the end taylor said that the bonus tracks are too good to be seen as just bonus tracks, and are merely songs on the deluxe that simply didnt make it onto the standard

Cytat:
OMG i forgot to say this:
I was like "when you performed Brave on tour and described it as 'SO original', the fan base LOST our minds with laughter" and she was like "you're some CIA level of investigating there wow"

Cytat:
oh and when she was speaking bout being sonically cohesive, she said "when i look back at red, i love it and am proud of it, but sonically, it was a bit of a quilt patch of sounds"

Cytat:
oh my god. what if the phone calls i get that i don't answer because they're from random numbers were actually from Taylor Nation?

if you didnt answer, they left a message and would DM you. they have all our details. everything. serious. i dont even know how they got my number. and they know all the blogs and who runs them and where theyre from

Taylor Nation jak jakieś FBI Laughing

Cytat:
um um um im thinking. andrea did say that, as you get bigger, you can demand a better contract, and that taylor swift has the best contract in the business.
and that sales weeks / record sales matter more to the record label than the artist.
and that taylor has never had a falling out with her label, and that she cant think of one other pop star who can say the same
oh and when we were praising tree, andrea did say that she like paula, but that paula tried to shelter taylor. but that when taylor started with her, she was 16, so it's difficult to see your client as anything but that, even though your client needs to grow up

już to wiedzieliśmy, ale to potwierdzenie z ust Andrei

Cytat:
did u ask about red tour dvd

OMG yes i did!!!!!!

okay so andrea answered this in two ways.
1) she said that to properly film a tour, there are cameras swooping everywhere, and with how technical it gets, it becomes more about the filming, and takes away from the audience experience. and taylor didn't like the idea of taking away from any one audience just to film something, because it's not fair to that crowd.
2) filming for a tour dvd could cost up to the millions when you take into consideration production and post production and distribution, so they had to weigh out if it's worth it. because the only real way for that to be viable these days is if a tv network like NBC or HBO film it for you, and pay you millions to air it. otherwise, the only other option is to have a cinema release, where you guarantee financial return, and that's not what taylor wants for her audience. she wants them to see it live, and not go to the cinema and lose that live interaction. and that that just seems like a money making ploy

buuuuuuuuuuuuu

Cytat:
andrea spoke highly of caitlin and said if taylor goes back to making music where a fiddle is needed, caitlin is the best. she also spoke highly of grant too, and spoke with sadness when noting how he was there from the start

Cytat:
Thanks! Have you already ranked 1989 with her other albums? Is it superior to the rest in your opinion?

i don't know how people are saying it's better than all her previous stuff after one listen. that's bulls***. noone can really judge an album on one listen. that being said, the stand out's really and truly great

Cytat:
He's clearly trying to say that 1989 is a disappointment compared to the expectations

not at all. i just think the speak now and red are both great albums and i wont negate that ever

Cytat:
"that being said, the stand out's really and truly great" singular? SIS

i didnt like red and speak now on first listen, i never like any album first listen. so for there to be stand outs, thats a great sign

Cytat:
lay all your cards on the table, Clayd. What was your first impression when you listened to the album? I'm not asking you about particular songs etc. I just want to know your impression.

Worse/Better than Red?
Worse/Better than Speak Now?

And please, don't fool us. We know Taylor's albums get better with time, but still, you must've had a first impression.

first impression, she was not kidding when she said she was going full pop. first impression, max martin thank god. first impression, all of these songs could be singles. first impressions, a lot of these songs are growers.

OH! and i spoke to andrea about max! i asked her if it mattered to taylor that max has a bad track record with the grammys, and andrea said it makes taylor sad that max hasnt won any because she strongly feels like he deserves it, and she hopes that she can be the one to do that for him

Cytat:
Are you allowed to hint whether the music is a typical generic-Max Martin production, or something new, fresh, not a 22-type of a mess?
Just say one word: fresh, semi-generic or Max Martin generic?

definitely fresh. nothing like 22! but they didn't reinvent the wheel, because really, it's not like they can create a new genre. but definitely different. there is one song that reminds me of Icona Pop a lot

Cytat:
I got into bed and remembered track 2 and I literally got excited at the prospect at all hearing it. you will all DIE. it's everything we've wanted taylor to say for YEARS
